Justina Floyd, Ph.D., LCMHC-QS, NCC

Dr. Justina Floyd is a North Carolina-licensed, trauma-focused therapist, supervisor, and EMDR consultant-in-training specializing in EMDR, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), and integrative care for complex trauma, perinatal trauma, identity-based stress, and life transitions. She provides LGBTQIA+ affirming, wholistic therapy for adults and couples, offering both in-person and telehealth sessions.

Justina Floyd, MA, NCC, LCMHC-QS is a Board Certified, Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and qualified supervisor in NC. She is also a third year doctoral candidate in the at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Justina specializes in the treatment of trauma and is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA) certified, a designation that is only available after advanced practice and expertise in EMDR treatment. She is trained in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and has also completed specialized programs in religious trauma, perinatal trauma, and early childhood trauma in adults.

Justina collaboratively works with clients to restore their true, authentic self; to unlock their fullest potential. She seeks to walk alongside gender-diverse and women clients, as well as non-traditional couples, as they rediscover who they are without the pressure or stigmas of who they "should" be. Justina offers treatment for complex issues such as PTSD, C-PTSD, religious trauma, perinatal mental health, non-traditional relationships, and sexual health using a person-centered approach with tools such as EMDR and KAP.

 Justina believes that your treatment should be tailored to you; offering an integrative approach rooted in humanistic person-centered therapy, which includes different therapeutic modalities based upon your needs and not simply to check the "correct" boxes.

Justina is passionate about supporting the education and growth of professionals in the mental health field and in her community. She is an EMDRIA Consultant in Training worldwide and an Assistant Professor at Wingate University's Clinical Mental Health program.
