More About roxanna
Roxanna Books (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCAS-A) in North Carolina. She works with adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, substance use, and co-occurring mental health concerns.

Roxanna specializes in trauma-focused care and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Her work is grounded in the understanding that many emotional and behavioral patterns develop as adaptive responses to life experiences, stress, and unmet needs. She approaches therapy with curiosity, compassion, and respect for each client’s unique story.

Roxanna strives to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, release what no longer serves them, and reconnect with their strengths. While her foundation is rooted in evidence-based psychotherapy, she also integrates holistic, mind-body approaches, recognizing the deep connection between emotional well-being, the nervous system, and lived experience.

Her therapeutic style is collaborative and strengths-based, honoring that healing is not linear and that growth unfolds at its own pace. Roxanna believes therapy is not about fixing what is broken, but about fostering insight, empowerment, and sustainable change.

As part of Carolina Integrative Therapy, Roxanna is committed to providing inclusive, trauma-informed care that meets clients where they are and supports healing of the whole person, not just symptoms.
